Heart and Pine

Couch Concert presented by Park National Bank and WCLT

Hailing from Cambridge and Buckeye Lake Ohio. Heart & Pine formed as a group of great friends who love to play great American music. Having shared the stage together since 2013 in support of each other's bands. In 2018 Meranda Cooper, Shelly Carpenter, and Dave Cooper decided to form a group based heavily on 3 part harmonies, playing a wide variety of music. The melodies and words may sound familiar, but Heart and Pine are taking already awesome songs, and making them their own.

Cliff Cody - July 12, 2020

About: A country singer and songwriter with a big voice and a working-class sensibility, Cliff Cody embraces the classic themes of country music -- hard work, hard times, broken hearts, and the occasional glass of whiskey to smooth away life's rough edges. Originally from Texas, Cody has spent time in Tennessee, New York, Ohio, and Florida as he's chased his dream of finding a bigger audience for his work. Making his debut with the 2014 album Homegrown, Cody's music had a potent classic rock influence to go along with the country archetypes of his melodies and lyrics, while his second long-player, 2019's A Mess Like Me, pushed the rock guitars and organ into the background as a more traditionalist approach was audible in the performances and production.

Equipped with a Telecaster, a Gibson Hummingbird and 17 dollars, he is coming to your town to play his guts out and then stand by the merch table.

Chris Duggan (Plaid Brixx) is a lifetime musician and lives in Columbus, OH. At age 7 he begged for a guitar for Christmas after being transfixed by music videos on MTV. Since then he has written numerous albums and songs under various project names and in 2012 he graduated from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute. Duggan is also an animated live performer: he likes to walk across the stage on his hands from time to time and is known to be a hot, dripping mess by the end of a set. As Plaid Brixx, he has performed with various personnel lineups in venues all throughout the US and Canada. Gigs so far include an official CMJ showcase, 4 SXSW shows and 3 performances at IndieWeek Canada. In 2017, he completed a tour with We The Kings, Cute Is What We Aim For and Astro Lasso: 32 mostly-sold-out venues across the country and Canada including Playstation Theater in NYC and The Troubador in LA. He also participated in the 2017 High School Nation Tour, performing at several large schools.
